One of the joins of the didactic narrative is a bass recitative before the concluding chorale and which ends by way of introducing what is to be the subject of the concluding chorale, which is an enlarged choral fantasy on Johann Gramann’s 1549 text, Nun lob, mein Seel, den Herren — Now praise men, my soul — which begins with the words Lob und Preis mit Ehren. May there be praise and glory with honour.
