20 June 2007 – Civic Projects

Wednesday, 20 June 2007, 7:50 am, St. Stephen, NB

Too many projects; too many inconsequential items. So finally had to throw out a lot of accumulated paper in the afternoon. Morning full of meetings: with lawyers on the defence of a very, very old claim; with the mayor and the general manager of the economic development corporation on the visitor information centre; with my recreation director and the deputy mayor on the emotions of one of the swim teams. Lunch at the house with one of my former mayors, who seems to be ever more remote in his interest in local politics.

Need to close down a few projects, and reduce their number to an important few that I can actually concentrate on.
